What is Us Time?

Us Time empowers parents to strengthen relationships with their children, prevent challenging behaviors, and help their children develop skills to navigate their big feelings.

Us Time is both an educational program, and a special type of playtime that helps parents and children build a strong foundation of trust and love. Us Time teaches parents behavior management principles, the power of play, and connects them to experts for personalized feedback and coaching. The counseling you’ll receive will help develop and strengthen well-balanced families and relationships.

With just 5 minutes of Us Time each day, parents can see fewer outbursts, better listening, better behaviors, and less family stress.

The Team

Dr. Ziv and Amara founded Us Time after many discussions over their kitchen table. Their passion for mental health grew from seeing the huge positive difference it can make in child development.

They are deeply committed to creating digital experiences to increase access to evidence-based parenting.

Dr. Ziv earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from The Ohio State University. He specializes in evidence-based interventions for families with children with ADHD or disruptive behaviors.  He has delivered empirically supported behavior management treatments across the U.S. in hospitals, community mental health centers, and in private practice.

Amara’s corporate career fueled her desire to build a mission-driven platform. This deepened during her time at abercrombie kids, where she saw first hand the power of play and the impact of strong parental relationships. Her life’s mission is to normalize seeking help for mental health and democratizing access to evidence-based support. Other experience includes Nike’s new business incubator, Nike Valiant Labs, marketing at Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister Co., and leadership development via women’s empowerment organizations.
